Science Talk: Radioactive Bacteria Targets Metastatic Pancreatic Cancer
Drs. Claudia Gravekamp and Ekaterina Dadachova have developed a therapy for pancreatic cancer that uses Listeria bacteria to deliver radioisotopes into metastatic tumor cells. The paper was published online April 22 in PNAS. Dr. Gravekamp is associate professor of microbiology & immunology and Dr. Dadachova is professor of radiology and of microbiology & immunology and Sylvia and Robert S. Olnick Faculty Scholar in Cancer Research at Einstein.
