The Genomics Core serves the Einstein scientific community by providing a broad range of services, utilizing current and emerging nucleic acid technologies. Contact the director for advice on choosing the appropriate technology or to automate a custom project.

Services

  • Sanger DNA sequencing (ABI 3730) – fast service and one on one troubleshooting
  • MPS (Next Gen Sequencing) – Exome-Seq, Whole Genome-Seq and RNA-seq
  • Expression Microarrays – Affymetrix Transcriptome arrays (alt-splice detection), cost effective 3’ arrays, miRNA, fast turnaround and free data analysis software
  • SNP and Cytogenetic Microarrays – Affymetrix SNP6 and CytoScan
  • Fluidigm Access Array – Automated targeted MPS library prep up to 48 samples, Targeted Bisulfite-Seq, Mito-Seq
  • Fluidigm Biomark – over 9000 PCRs in one: qPCR, Digital PCR, Taqman SNPs, Single Cell qPCR up to 96 genes
  • Real Time qPCR – gene expression, Taqman SNPs, 384-well, 96-well and array card formats
  • Sequenom EpiTyper – quantitative cytosine methylation
  • Sequenom iPLEX – multiplex SNP genotyping: 1-40 SNPs/assay, Somatic mutation (<1% sensitivity) 
  • Liquid Handling Automation – high throughput PCR, plate replication, dilutions
  • Fragment Analysis – fluorescent amplicon detection
  • Human Cell Line Authentication – ensure your cell lines meet current guidelines
  • DNA quantitation – highly accurate Pico Green assay
  • RNA and DNA quality analysis with Agilent Bioanalyzer and Caliper GX
  • PCR – let us prepare your samples for downstream analyses
