Postdoctoral Position at the Liver Center

Job Description:

A postdoctoral fellow position is available to study the molecular mechanisms of liver injury and hepatocyte death.  The research focus of the laboratory is on discovering how cell signaling pathways such as MAPKs and cellular processes such as autophagy mediate the development of liver injury and inflammation.  A strong training in cellular and molecular biology is desirable and studies are performed in hepatocyte and macrophage cell culture and transgenic mouse models.  The research is NIH-funded and conducted in an NIH-sponsored liver research center.  The Einstein campus is located in a diverse residential community in the Northeast Bronx with easy access to Manhattan.  Einstein provides a stimulating and interactive research environment, NIH guideline-based salary and benefits and a strong postdoctoral enrichment program.
