Job Description:
Starting in mid-August 2009, a postdoctoral position is available for a highly motivated candidate to join the Gamble Laboratory in the Department of Molecular Pharmacology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Research projects are focused on studying the role of macro domain-containing proteins and their NAD+ derived ligands in the regulation of gene expression relevant to both cancer and the innate immune response. The successful candidate will work independently under the guidance of the principal investigator and will gain experience applying a broad range of biochemical, cell-based, and genome-wide approaches to the study of transcriptional regulation. Applicants will eventually be expected to apply for fellowship support. A Ph.D in the biological sciences, a strong background in molecular biology, and excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
