Newsweek interviews Allan Wolkoff, M.D., on the high incidence of hepatitis C in baby boomers and how public misconceptions are preventing early detection and treatment. Dr. Wolkoff notes that the stigma of liver disease needs to be overcome by both physicians and patients in order to address infection before symptoms appear.
