APPLYING TO THE MASTERS PROGRAM
Who should Apply — The MBE seeks applicants with strong academic qualifications and clear professional goals in the domain of bioethics. Many applicants will already have or be in the process of obtaining a professional degree in a related field (e.g. medicine, law, allied health professions). Successful applicants to the MBE will include:
— mid-career professionals who wish to improve their knowledge and practice of bioethics.
— previous graduates of our Certificate Program in Bioethics, who will receive a full 6 credits for the completed course.
— candidates with advanced degrees or professional experience not related to health or law, whose career goals intersect with bioethics; examples include journalists, clergy and high school science teachers.
— students concurrently enrolled in medical or law school.
— exceptional students with a baccalaureate degree and a strong, demonstrated interest in bioethics.
When to Apply — Applications for the Fall 2013 semester are due March 18, 2013. While first priority will be given to applications received by March 18, 2013 we will accept and review applications after the deadline on a space-available basis.
How to Apply — We currently accept applications through Yeshiva University's online admissions system. You may access the system here. On creating and accessing your account, please select Bioethics Masters Program for the Application Type tab, and follow all ensuing instructions. Complete submission of the application will require online payment of a $50 application fee.
