Combating COVID-19: Einstein’s Critical Response Research & Education Fund

A Critical Moment in Time

The COVID-19 pandemic represents an unprecedented time in our history, when society is looking to scientists and clinicians to lead the way by discovering and implementing new approaches to overcome this health crisis, prevent its recurrence, and provide more equitable care.

In response to the devastating impact of COVID-19—which has already killed hundreds of thousands throughout the world and thousands of patients in New York—Einstein has enlisted many of our outstanding investigators to redirect their expertise to research projects focused on ending the COVID-19 pandemic. Their efforts are informed by and conducted in collaboration with our faculty and colleagues at Montefiore, who are caring for COVID-19 patients with a calm determination, firm resolve, and unwavering dedication to saving lives.

By donating to the Einstein Critical Response Research & Education Fund, you support our greatest needs across the institution, with the primary focus on our research and education initiatives. Your contributions support the dedicated scientists at Einstein and clinicians at Montefiore and will allow them to make discoveries needed to end this pandemic and to provide life-saving treatments for COVID-19 patients.

If you need assistance or have questions about this giving opportunity, please contact us at 718.430.2411 or at development@einsteinmed.org.

Rachel Katz
Stories of Impact
Easing the Burden of Medical Debt

Many years before Rachel Katz, M.D. ’95, arrived at Einstein, she had a strong connection to the school. Dr. Katz’s mother, Monique, is a Vassar graduate and Einstein 1963 alumna, and her father, Mordecai, served on the Yeshiva University Board of Trustees. Both were—and remain—generous philanthropic supporters.
