Goals:  To update knowledge of current issues in the diagnosis of autism spectrum disoders (ASD).< /p>

Objectives:  (1) Participants will be able to identify p roposed changes in the DSM 5 ASD criteria, their rationale and likely imp act on early diagnosis.  (2) Participants will engage in convera tions with those from other disciplines who serve patients with ASD of different ages, levels of severity, and with varied developmental, emoti onal and medical comorbidity profiles.  (3) Participants wil l be able to identify specific features opf ASD according to the new c riteria.
