Goals:  To update knowledge of current issues in the national fiel d of disability rights, advocacy and technical assista nce.< /p>

Objectives:  (1) Participants will be abl e to ide ntify key legal/legislative issues affecting individuals with di sabiliti es, their families and caretakers/providers. (2) Participan ts will engage in conversations with those from other disciplines who serve patien ts in the field of advocacy and technical assistance.  (3) Participant s will be able to identify specific features of legislative bil ls, reports to the network on capacity building, community integration /minority p artnerships to increase diversi ty in UCEDD net works.
