Dr. Laurie Jacobs will be joining us to talk about her experiences. Dr. Jacobs is currently a Vice Chairman in the Department of Medicine at Einstein and Montefiore, serves on the board of the American Geriatrics Society and the editorial advisory board of the Journal of the American Geriatrics Society. She is also a fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American Geriatrics Society, was awarded a John A. Hartford Foundation Geriatric Leadership and the Senior Leadership Awards, and Einstein’s Harry H. Gordon Award for Outstanding Clinical Teaching. Dr. Jacobs’ clinical research focuses on the risks and benefits of anticoagulants for prevention of stroke for older adults with atrial fibrillation, and the primary and secondary prevention of venous thromboembolic disease.
