Osteosarcoma

Dr. Gorlick is a pediatric oncologist specializing in sarcoma (a type of cancer that affects connective tissue) and an international leader in research on osteosarcoma, the most common bone cancer in children. Dr. Gorlick was instrumental in initiating the bone-tumor bank of the Children's Oncology Group (COG), the world’s largest childhood cancer research organization, and serves as Vice Chair of its Bone Tumor Disease Committee.

Dr. Gorlick’s laboratory serves as a bone tumor resource for COG and belongs to the National Cancer Institute’s Pediatric Preclinical Testing Program, which screens new drugs for childhood cancers. Dr. Gorlick is the Treasurer of the Connective Tissue Oncology Society and a member of the developmental therapeutics committee of the Sarcoma Alliance for Research through Collaboration.
