Getting Started with Audience Response Systems in the Zoom Environment

Event Description:

This will be a 1 -hour virtual session on how an Audience Response System (ARS) creates interactivity between a presenter and his/her audience. This session will introduce you to using an ARS as a tool to support an active learning approach to increase learner engagement within the Zoom virtual environment. During the session, instructors will provide you with interactive examples of web-based audience response systems, such as Zoom Polls and Poll Everywhere, that are free or have free options

By the end of this workshop, participants should be able to:

1. Describe strategies of using an ARS to sustain learner attention and engagement during a didactic session

2. List the types of questions, and their applications, available from Poll Everywhere and the Poll option within Zoom
