Sixteenth Annual Davidoff Education Day
Date: Wednesday, December 11, 2019
Time: 8:30 AM To 4:00 PM
Location: Lubin Dining Hall
Event Description:
Davidoff Education Day is an eagerly anticipated full-day event devoted to the faculty development needs of our medical educators. Dr. Luanne Thorndyke, Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, is joining us as our featured speaker. The day will focus on developing effective conflict management skills to enhance efficiencies in the workplace setting.
There are five conflict-handling modes: competing, accommodating, avoiding, collaborating and compromising. Each of us can use all five conflict styles; personal predisposition and work situations lead to an individual’s conflict behavior in the workplace.
This session will help attendees explore their own conflict management style, which will enable them to transform conflict into collaboration.
Target Audience:
All faculty.
Speaker:
Luanne Thorndyke, M.D., FACP
