Science at the heart of medicine

Faculty Development Event

EndNote: Citations Made Simple

Date: Tuesday, November 13, 2018

Time: 9:00 AM To 11:00 AM

Location: Forchheimer 119N

Event Description:
Bibliographic management software makes it easy to collect and organize references from many different sources (journal articles, conference papers, websites, book chapters, data sets, and more). If your career will get a boost from the research you produce, you need a robust reference manager such as EndNote. In this workshop, our experienced instructors from the D. Samuel Gottesman Library will teach participants how to get the most out of EndNote. After taking this workshop, participants will be able to: - Collect references from sources such as PubMed, Web of Science, Embase, and Google Scholar. - Insert in-text citations and reference lists into documents using EndNote. - Format bibliographies according to the style requirements of major medical/scientific journals. - Fine tune your EndNote library by finding and linking to full text, removing duplicates, and updating and annotating references. - Access your EndNote library from anywhere by synchronizing with EndNote Online. EndNote is a bibliographic management program available to faculty at no charge through the Library's site license

Target Audience:
