Event Description:
We are thrilled to announce a special Office of Medical Education (OME) seminar by Dr. Miguel Paniagua, Medical Advisor for Test Development Services at the National Board of Medical Examiners (NBME), on assessment. Dr. Paniagua trained in Geriatric and Hospice & Palliative Medicine and has received numerous awards for teaching. During this educational seminar participants will learn to determine the role of innovations and limitations of assessment modalities. Dr. Paniagua will illustrate the use of clinical decision making tools during an examination, assessment of communication skills and professionalism. Additionally, participants will learn methods to improve education and assessment in diverse teaching settings. Dr. Paniagua has extensive experience in test development for the NBME and will bring his expertise to this exciting session.
