Professional Interests

Noriyuki Murakami completed his studies in public health and medicine at Columbia University and the State University of New York in Brooklyn and went on to join the Primary Care/Social Medicine residency program at Montefiore Hospital in 2010. He completed his global primary care fellowship and joined the global health faculty at Albert Einstein College of Medicine where he supervises residents and students in their global health experience in the Bronx and in Uganda.

His research interest includes community-based human rights abuse monitoring in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo, and educational models of delivering high-yield clinical skills in resource challenged healthcare settings. He is cofounder of the movement Doctors for the 99 Percent.
