Dr. Jessica M. Atrio

Professional Interests

Dr. Atrio completed her Family Planning Fellowship at University of Southern California under Dr. Daniel Mishell and joined the Einstein faculty in 2013. Her thesis project, published in the Journal of AIDS, was a two-arm open-label, prospective, steady state pharmacokinetic study of drug-drug interactions in HIV infected women treated with oral norethindrone and protease inhibitors. In addition to translational clinical research she has a keen interest in evidence-based medicine that focuses on safety and optimization of clinical outcomes. Medication induction, management of lethal anomalies, and contraception in medically complex populations are all arenas she looks forward to exploring with collaborators at Einstein and other institutions. Dr. Atrio plans to develop the Division’s capacities in translational research related to women’s reproductive health, abortion, and contraception. She also provides FP, gynecologic and preventative health care to HIV-infected women at the Moses Campus Center for Positive Living/Infectious Diseases Clinic.

Collexis Research Profiles
Einstein Research Profiles (ERP) is one of the innovative technologies to create collaborative bridges within and across the entire bench-to-bedside-to-population spectrum of research. The ERP website has been developed in partnership with Collexis to give investigators easy access to PubMed publications, coauthor networks, information about NIH grants, and research networks.
