Professional Interests

Jules Beal, MD completed his medical degree at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He received training in Pediatrics at Cohen Children’s Medical Center of NY/North Shore-LIJ, and completed his Child Neurology residency training at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.  He additionally completed fellowship training in Clinical Neurophysiology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.  He is board certified inNeurology with special qualification in Child Neurology as well as Epilepsy by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

Dr. Beal is currently the director of the Pediatric Neurohospitalist service and the director of the Neurocutaneous Disorders Center at the Children's Hospital at Montefiore, where he also maintains an outpatient practice and is closely involved with resident education.  His interests include seizures and epilepsy, epileptic encephalopathies, and neurocutaneous disorders in addition to general pediatric neurology.
