Professional Interests

Dr. Kalia is a Transplant Hepatologist who joined Montefiore Medical Center in 2009. Dr. Kalia received his medical education at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, and then took four years of Internal Medicine Residency, the first three at UMDNJ in Newark and the next as a Chief Resident at the East Orange VA. He completed a Transplant Hepatology Fellowship at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City, and Gastroenterology Fellowship at UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School, Newark NJ.

Dr. Kalia's clinical and research interests include NAFLD, Hepatitis B, complications of end stage liver disease and liver transplantation.
