The office of student activities under the direction of Student Affairs is responsible for most of the nonacademic, quality-of-life at Einstein, from orientation through graduation, and more. The office works with the entire Einstein community. Meets regularly with the student council, mentors student clubs and creates social activities to foster the Einstein community.
Student activities director serves as ombudsman to students on a daily basis, offering advice and assistance in addressing the myriad needs that students have, whether school-related or personal in nature.
In addition to producing large-scale, student-oriented events and overseeing a variety of committees, clubs and special interest groups, the office of student activities staff assist students with their own events, such as skit night, fun day, ice-skating night and the homecoming and formal dances. The staff also works with the office of Student Affairs to offer students special academic events, and take the lead in producing important Einstein events, such as the Marshall S. Horwitz, M.D. Prize for Faculty Research Excellence, the biennial Convocation and Investiture Ceremony and special symposia and lectures.
The office of student activities also is responsible for room reservations involving the use of most public spaces and several auditoriums on the Resnick campus.
