Orientation

Welcome to the Graduate Programs in the Biomedical Sciences at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine for the 2013-14 year. We are pleased that you will be joining the PhD program this coming fall.
Below is a list of important information to assist new graduate students. If you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Graduate Division Office.  

2013 ORIENTATION DATES

• August 9-11, 2013 – Housing Move-in dates.
• August 12, 2013 - New Student Orientation begins

 REQUIREMENTS AND DEADLINES

• Final Transcripts – Due July 2 - Please arrange to have your final official transcripts sent (by paper or electronic copy) to the Graduate Office.
 
• Medical Clearance – Due July 1 – Health forms will need to be sent to the Occupational Health Office  no later than July 1. You should have received these forms via email. If you have any questions about medical clearance, please contact Tina Crane (tina.crane@einstein.yu.edu).
   
• Housing – All graduate students are guaranteed a place in the student housing complex. Housing forms are send via postal mail. If you are requesting a place in housing you should return the completed housing form and deposit directly to the Einstein Housing Office. If you have any questions, please contact Anna Maria Vitiello (anna-maria.vitiello@einstein.yu.edu) the Housing Office by email.
    
• Health Insurance – All graduate students receive free individual health insurance. The Einstein student health insurance will begin on the start date of the PhD program (August 12, 2013).
