Networking Events

Networking is a critical career-enhancing activity whose importance in the development of young scientists has only recently been appreciated.

Networking at Einstein:

International Coffee Hour (monthly)

Lunch/dinner with speakers (ask the event organizers)

Meet colleagues from other departments at club events at Einstein

Networking in NYC:

New York City provides a unique platform to meet people. Join the researcher community at one of the social hours announced at NewYorkPostdocs, at a Harvey lecture, or at an event of the New York Academy of Sciences.

Find people with similar interests (Hobby, Language etc.) at Meet Up groups.

Organize your network using internet tools such as

- LinkedIn (professional networking tool)

Read about "6 ways LinkedIn can work for you".)

Join sub-groups such as “Einstein PhD Network”, "Stem Cell Research", "Science Alliance", "PhD careers outside of Academia", "Biotechnology"
