Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP)

International Students

Foreign students are eligible and encouraged to apply to the MSTP at Einstein. Our program has accepted qualified international applicants, and will continue to do so. As with all applicants, in order to be eligible to apply, foreign students must have completed at least three years of study toward a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in the U.S. or Canada. International students must also fulfill all of the premedical course requirements. Please see the application page for application procedures. Students who have earned baccalaureate degrees outside the U.S. or Canada are required to complete at least one year of formal coursework in the sciences (about 30 credit hours) in an accredited American college or university prior to making application to the College of Medicine.

International students accepted into the Einstein MSTP receive the same annual stipend, medical insurance, subsidized on-campus housing, and tuition waiver for the duration of both the PhD and the MD programs as students who are American citizens or permanent residents.
