Date: Wednesday, January 16, 2013
Time: 9:00 AM To 11:00 AM
Location: Forchheimer 119N
Event Description:
In this workshop, we will explore the use of social networking in medicine and science and the role it can play in your career. The facilitators will highlight how you might optimally use Twitter to further your professional development. Participants should already have a twitter account and be familiar with the basics of Twitter to attend this workshop. In this interactive workshop we will roll up our sleeves and really learn the "ins and outs" of how to build your reputation and get your message out to colleagues using Twitter. We will also describe ways to collaborate with other like-minded colleagues through social media. Once you leave this workshop we will expect you to send ten tweets in a two week period to claim your CME. This is a great opportunity – you will not want to miss it!
Participants are asked to bring either a mobile tablet computer (e.g., iPad) or a laptop with them to this presentation.
