Event Description:
It is never too early to start thinking about your career advancement. This series of workshops is designed especially for faculty new to Einstein who are involved in medical education. In the first session we will review the different promotion tracks and criteria for promotion, focusing primarily on the Clinical Educator Track (CET). In Session 1, participants will work with senior faculty in small groups to review and improve their CVs. Session 2 will focus on creating an effective teaching portfolio (required for promotion in the CET track), and on using the CV and portfolio to reflect on short-term career goals. After drafting and updating the CV and portfolio, participants will meet with senior mentors in the final session to discuss their successes, barriers to achieving their goals, and strategies for moving their careers forward.
