  • Aug 11: Registration for courses begins
  • Aug 25: First week for most Cardozo (LAW) courses
  • Sept 1: Labor Day (no classes)
  • Sept 2: BIOE courses begin 
  • Sept 3: Full Day Session for BIOE 5101 Bioethics & Medical Humanities
  • Sept 9:  Last day to drop a course without financial penalty
  • Sept 17: Last day to register for fall seminar courses
  • Sept 24: No Classes after 1 p.m.
  • Sept 25-26: Rosh Hashanah (no classes) 
  • Oct 1: Last day to drop courses without academic penalty 
  • Oct 9-10: Sukkot (no classes)
  • Oct 16-17: Shemini Atzeret/Simchat (no classes)
  • Nov 27: Thanksgiving (no classes)
  • Dec 5: Last day of BIOE courses
  • Dec 5: Registration begins for Winter Intensive Course

  • Jan 19: University Closed for Martin Luther King Holiday
  • Jan 26: First week for BIOE courses
  • TBA: First Day BIOE 5102 Bioethics & Medical Humanities II
  • Feb 2: Last day to drop a course without financial penalty
  • Feb 10: Last day to register for spring seminar courses
  • Feb 16: Einstein is Closed for Presidents' Day - (no  Bioethics classes, Cardozo is open and will have a regular class schedule)
  • Feb 23: Last day to drop courses without academic penalty
  • March 2: Last day to Apply for the June Degree Date
  • Apr 6-10: Week of Spring Break
  • May 5: Last day of BIOE courses
  • TBA: Bioethics Diploma Ceremony

Dr. Tia Powell was recently named one of nine new 2014 Hastings Center Fellows. The Fellows are an elected association of researchers from around the world whose distinguished contributions in their fields have been influential in bioethics.
