“I chose Einstein because I wanted to work at a large academic center that provides world-class care to a very diverse patient population. The faculty and staff provide a dynamic and constantly evolving educational experience that keeps Einstein a leader in the field. In addition, the residents are extremely welcoming; rounding out what is a true OB/GYN family.”

Alexander Wang

"I chose Einstein because I wanted to do global health every day. Here, we work in an incredibly diverse and stimulating environment and take care of women from all over the world. Ultimately I felt confident that this program would prepare me to manage just about anything in the field of OB/GYN, and to do that just about anywhere."

Bianca Maria Stifani

"Einstein encompassed everything I was looking for in a residency program - a commitment to serving an under-served patient population, exposure to diverse disease processes, and strong global health and research opportunities. As a bonus, on my interview day I was welcomed by warm faculty and residents who seemed supportive of one another and excited about their institution. Making Einstein my number one choice was a no-brainer."

Moona Arabkhazaeli

“I chose Einstein because of the breadth of exposure provided to residents. The patient population is largely made up of immigrant women with limited access to care. We're exposed to unique pathology and high-risk patients on a regular basis. The program's commitment to global health is evident at the resident and attending levels. As a medical student, I was able to go to Rwanda with Einstein OB-GYN faculty and hope to continue the work we started when I return as a resident.”

Juan Sanchez

“While applying for residency, I wanted a program that would provide me with the academic triad of excellence in patient care, research, and education. During my subinternship at Einstein, I found that the program not only embodied these ideals but the people—the faculty, residents, staff, and patients together provided a unique culture where I would be challenged and confidently come out of my training as a highly competent OB/GYN. I chose Einstein for the breadth and depth of exposure to the field seen at this program while being able to work with individuals who hold the same ideals of providing high quality compassionate care to a diverse patient population.”

Joan Tymon-Rosario

People at Einstein truly have a passion to serve the underserved. I chose Einstein in order to learn from faculty and fellow residents who share this passion. Having that mentorship is a foundational aspect of what it means to be a good physician. I also deeply share Einstein's vision in academic and sustainable women's global health - structured experiences that take an extra step in capacity-building and relationship-building efforts abroad, in which healthcare providers across very different settings are partners in improving maternal morbidity and mortality globally. That is what I envision myself doing in my career and I believe Einstein is the right place in nurturing and further developing this goal.

Sandolsam (Stone) Cha

I chose to stay at Einstein for residency because I knew first-hand the type of OB/GYNs the program trained: confident, competent and resourceful leaders in the field. From day one, this program has given me the opportunity to learn from renowned faculty and to care for an underserved, vulnerable population while simultaneously enjoying life as a resident of the greatest city in the world. We have a unique population that we serve, and a unique bond with each other in our program. It was those relationships on both ends of clinical care that drew me to and kept me at Einstein.

Sarp Aksel

Einstein offers an incredible variety of learning experiences that you just can't find anywhere else! Absolutely every subspecialty of OB/Gyn is represented. Everyone here- attendings, fellows, PAs, nurses, and your fellow residents- on every service is always teaching, and there's always something new and interesting to learn. Our patient population is high-need and high-acuity. I am always inspired by how everyone here at Einstein puts their minds, hearts, and hands to work in delivering the highest quality and most compassionate care every day, to every patient.

Miriam Segura-Harrison

I chose Einstein because I wanted to join of community of physicians dedicated to serving resource poor populations locally and abroad with robust family planning opportunities, precedent for advocacy, and demanding volume. Einstein would prepare me for my future ambitions. Now that I am here, I am inspired by my faculties' and co-residents' talent, handwork, achievements, and supportive nature. I am honored to be a part of this team.

Whitney Clearwater

I wanted to train at Einstein because of the environment. I loved the idea of having large class of residents to enjoy New York city with, while working hard for one of the most high risk obstetrician populations in the country. Residency at Einstein will prepare you for whatever you want to do in obstetrics gynecology.

Stewart Barlow

I chose to complete my training in Ob/Gyn at Einstein for several reasons. I learned from my experience during medical school that I valued working with a diverse and underserved population. I also wanted to train in a vibrant academic setting with varied clinical experiences and opportunities for resident research. I was fortunate to rotate as a Sub-intern on the Gyn Oncology service, and I saw first-hand that Einstein would make me a competent, confident and compassionate physician and surgeon.

Megan Early

I chose Einstein because of the diversity in the patient population it serves- you can find yourself speaking 3 different languages in one triage night! In addition, I think a great residency program is one that has a perfect balance between patient volume and residency education: Einstein has that balance. Also, the global health and research opportunities, provided under the tutelage of great faculty, make Einstein a special place to learn.
