Third-year resident Dr. Elizabeth Zheng (Firm 2) was awarded an American Association of Liver Diseases (AASLD) Emerging Liver Scholar Resident Travel Award.

Dr. Zheng received her medical degree from New York Medical College in 2011. She is mentored by Dr. Allan Wolkoff, Chief of the Division of Gastroenterology & Liver Diseases.

Emerging Liver Scholars receive subscriptions to the journals Hepatology, Liver Transplantation, and Clinical Liver Disease; complimentary registration to several components of The Liver Meeting (Postgraduate Course, Meet-the-Professor Luncheon, Career Development Workshop); travel expenses to the meeting; and ongoing mentorship throughout the year.
