Dr. Jeffrey Weiss has been appointed Medical Director of Montefiore Medical Center.
Dr, Weiss's role will be to optimize the performance of the Montefiore health delivery network by ensuring a smooth interface between its various components—the hospital, the medical groups, the home health agency, nursing homes and the CMO. One of his key responsibilities will be to enhance relationships between Montefiore's clinical administration and the individual clinical departments.
Reporting to Gary Kalkut, Dr. Weiss will continue to be responsible for ongoing initiatives to improve patient flow within the hospital. His appointment took effect on July 1st and represents part of the reorganization of the Office of the Medical Director to improve the quality and efficiency of the care we provide.
