Lief Appointed Interim Housestaff Program Director
Dr. Philip Lief, Vice Chair for Clinical Affairs, has been appointed Interim Housestaff Program Director. Dr. Lief was previously a Department of Medicine Program Director and brings tremendous depth and talent to the position.
Dr. Sharon Silbiger, former Housestaff Program Director, assumed the position of Associate Chair of Medicine July 1, 2009. In her new position, Dr. Silbiger is responsible for the Internal Medicine education of Einstein medical students across their 3rd and 4th years, as well as west campus renal site directorship.
An active search for Dr. Silbiger's successor is underway. The search is led by Dr. Julia Arnsten, Chief of the Division of General Internal Medicine.
