Matthew Florczyk, MD, PhD
Dr. Matthew Florczyk died January 21, 2009 after a long illness. Florczyk was a first-year intern in the Einstein-Montefiore Internal Medicine Residency last year until he became ill.
"Matthew has battled his illness with an incredible spirit, stalwartness and humor. He always planned on returning to complete his training in our program. His is a great loss to the program and to all the patients who were lucky enough to have him as their doctor," said Dr. Sharon Silbiger, residency program director.
