Thomas Aldrich Receives Outstanding Clinician Award
The 2009 Outstanding Clinician Award from the New York State Thoracic Society goes to Thomas Aldrich, MD (Pulmonary Medicine).
The guidelines for the award include: "The recipient of a TSC (Thoracic Society Chapter) Outstanding Clinician Award will be a top-notch clinician who spends 75% or more of his or her time in the direct care of patients. He or she will be recognized by the members or executive committee of the TSC for superb clinical skills, bedside manner and patient care.
"This is a very well deserved award appropriate to Tom's role as trusted healer for myriad individuals afflicted with lung disease, as a distinguished and valued colleague, and as a longstanding and thoughtful pillar of our division," said Simon Spivack, MD, Chief of the Division of Pulmonary Medicine.
