The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) has notified Michael Brownlee (Endocrinology, Einstein) that he is this year's selection for their highest award, The David Rumbough Award for Scientific Excellence.
In 1974, actress Dina Merrill established the David Rumbough Award in honor of her late son.
JDRF presents the award annually in recognition of an individual's outstanding achievement in diabetes research and service to JDRF.
