Dr. Matthew Berger is director of medical services, Einstein Division, of Montefiore Medical Center, and technical director of clinical informatics at Emerging Health Information Technology, a Montefiore subsidiary. A practicing internist, Berger has spent the past 15 years working on various IT initiatives including Montefiore’s implementation of computerized physician order entry more than a decade ago, and customization of the hospital’s clinical decision-support system.
