Rheumatology Fellowship Training Program

Fellowship Research: Jason Brucker, MD
Clinical training and clinical or basic research. Experiences include inpatient and ambulatory rheumatology, ambulatory rotations with other clinical subspecialties, didactic conferences, research, continuing medical education and participation at professional meetings, development of teaching skills.

There are 11 full-time faculty members, with a ratio of 3 faculty members per fellow. Additional voluntary faculty rheumatologists in private practice bring clinical expertise to the program.

Patient Population and Disease Mix
A diverse patient population with diseases including rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus, spondyloarthropathies, crystal-induced arthritides, infectious arthritis, osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, and soft tissue rheumatism.

Training Sites
Four Bronx hospitals with varying types of patient populations.

Lectures and Conferences
A dynamic educational curriculum of internal didactics and courses as well as external congresses and conferences within the fields of rheumatology, immunology and musculoskeletal health.

Rheumatology elective courses are available for Internal Medicine residents and fellows, Internal Medicine trainees from other training programs.
