Administrator Roles 

The Fellowship Program Director is responsible for:

  1. reviewing and evaluating the clinical progress of each trainee, with input from attending faculty
  2. assessing an individual trainee's procedural skills and reviewing procedural logs to ensure that each trainee exhibits procedural competence
  3. coordinating curricular components to ensure that the educational objectives are met by the curriculum
  4. periodically assessing the components of the clinical training program to update curricular components and design and assure that the components of the training program achieve and maintain adherence to the expectations and standards of the School of Medicine, the Department of Medicine, the ABIM, and the ACGME.

The Program Director is aided in these responsibilities by the Division Chief, the Site Director and the Associate Fellowship Program Director. This group reviews aspects of the Fellowship Program through discussions at regular faculty meetings and through informal communications channels. In addition, regular feedback is given by fellows participation in faculty reviews and meetings.
