Year One
The first year of training is traditionally clinical and includes inpatient and longitudinal outpatient responsibilities.

Year Two
Second-year fellows differentiate along the Clinical Research or Basic Science Research Track and participate in ambulatory dialysis care, continuity clinic, transplant clinic, transplant rotation, vacation coverage for first-year fellows, and night and weekend call.

Year Three
Fellows with research goals are encouraged to continue provided funding is available. Third year includes journal club, research seminars, renal grand rounds, coursework, and possible enrollment into the Masters of Science program in Clinical Research and Epidemiology.
