Professional Interests

She was an internal medicine house officer at Bronx Municipal Hospital Center (Jacobi/Weiler) under Dr. Milford Fulop. After working in the outpatient department at Jacobi for a year, she joined the faculty of the University of Pittsburgh College of Medicine, where she ran the Medical Resident University and Community-Based Clinics, and honed her skills as a Clinical-Educator.

From 2003 to 2005, Dr. Conigliaro was Associate Program Director of the Internal Medicine Training Program at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. She received the Outstanding Teaching Attending Award from the Department of Medicine Interns of Pittsburgh for 2004-2005. From 2009-2012 she served as Senior Assistant Dean for Curriculum at Kentucky, was promoted to Professor of Medicine in the Division of General Internal Medicine in 2010, and won the Outstanding Teaching Faculty award from the housestaff in 2010-2011.

She has been active in clinical teaching at all levels, including medical students, house staff, fellows and attendings. She has given Grand Rounds, run faculty development programs, developed student and housestaff curricula, and teaches and sees patient in both the outpatient and inpatient services. Students and residents find her enthusiastic, passionate, and evidence-based. She is excited to be part of the Montefiore community, and to be given the opportunity to contribute to education and patient care as she returns to the Bronx.
