Dr. Lauren Shapiro is the assistant director for Firm III at Einstein/Montefiore Medical Internal Medicine Residency Program. She is a graduate of Rutgers College and then received her medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University.
After completing her residency training in Social Internal Medicine, Dr. Shapiro served as the categorical Firm III Chief Resident. She then worked as a clinician/educator in the categorical clinic focusing on resident education and oversight.
Dr. Shapiro is passionate about teaching, mentorship, and providing resident support and was delighted to rejoin the Residency Leadership as Firm Leader for Firm 3, which houses the Primary Care and Social Internal Medicine residents. Her educational interests are in clinical reasoning, handoffs, underserved populations, and resident professional development.
