Einstein Division of Endocrinology faculty are the major participants in the Einstein Diabetes Research Center. The Center's research ranges from basic biology of the pathophysiology of diabetes to diabetes-related behavioral research. The Division's research composes the major share of the Center’s research, leadership, and core facilities.
Endocrinology and Metabolism faculty members receive substantial funding by individual grants and awards, mainly from the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
Members of the Division direct several PPGs and participate in the New York Obesity Center, now a shared program with Columbia University.
A sizable portion of the Division's research output is published in high-impact journals. A significant portion is human based, including intense physiological studies and clinical trials.
Over the past 30 years the Division's research activity has grown progressively, and members of the Division have made significant contributions to the field, receiving high-ranking recognition.
