Friedman Among Winners of MMC Young Investigator Award
The Einstein/Montefiore Department of Medicine extends congratulations to participants in the 17th annual Montefiore Medical Center Young Investigators Research Symposium, held February 19, 2010. Of the twenty presentations given, six were from the Department of Medicine, six from Radiation Oncology, two from Pathology, two from Pediatrics, and one each from Emergency Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Radiology, and Oncology.
Dr. Adam Friedman, chief resident of the Division of Dermatology, received third place for his talk entitled “Nitric Oxide Releasing Nanoparticles as an Investigational Tool and Therapeutic Strategy Targeting Vascular Disease”. Friedman also recently received the first Annual ARTE Poster Competition Research Award given at the Orlando Dermatology Aesthetic and Clinical Conference for his poster entitled “Nanotechnology as a Topical Therapeutic Strategy for Vascular Dysfunction”.

Third place: Shoshana Zitter (Pathology); Rafi Kabarriti, Raquibul Hannan, Huagang Zhang, and Hongchao Zhou (Radiation Oncology)
