Division of Dermatology Honors 2009 Graduates
The Einstein-Montefiore Division of Dermatology congratulates the outstanding achievement of its 2009 graduating residents.
The following physicians completed a 3-year period of intensive dermatology residency training leading to eligibility for certification by the American Board of Dermatology. The Einstein Dermatology Residency Training Program offers a diverse perspective on cutaneous disorders and treatments in both adults and children through clinical rotations at Einstein hospitals and affiliates.
Dr. David Ciocon, Chief Resident, will begin a Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Procedural Dermatology Fellowship certified by the American College of Mohs Surgery and the ACGME. His training will encompass both Mohs surgery and procedural cosmetic dermatology. The Mohs technique is an exact, precise method of surgical skin tumor removal that minimizes the chance of re-growth and lessens potential for scarring and disfigurement. Dr. Ciocon will train with Dr. David Goldberg of Hackensack, NJ. Dr. Ciocon was inducted into the Leo M. Davidoff Society for his dedication to teaching and mentorship.
