Nicholas Soter, MD, New York University
Nicholas Soter, Professor of Dermatology at New York University is a preeminent clinician -scientist-teacher recognized internationally for his work on urticaria/angioedema, vasculitis, pruritus, photosensitivity disorders, mastocytosis, and flushing.
A Texas native, Dr. Soter emigrated to Boston for his internship in medicine. He returned for the final year of dermatology residency at MGH; a fellowship in clinical immunology at Harvard Medical School; and, nearly 15 years on the Harvard Dermatology faculty. Dr. Soter joined the Department of Dermatology at NYU in 1984. Among numerous honors, he is a fellow of the American Dermatological Association and the NY Dermatological Society. As an aficionado of the arts, especially opera and theater, Dr. Soter found an ideal home in New York.
