The Advanced Certificate in Global Health Program focuses on social and behavioral determinants of health with an emphasis on health inequities and the challenge of addressing health issues in resource poor settings. It will provide participants with
- Knowledge of the contribution of context on health;
- Awareness of the linkages between local and global health;
- Fundamental skills to understand and/or contribute to research and service related activities to address health challenges within a global context; and
- The classes and field experience/project will enhance participants’ understanding of global health issues affecting vulnerable populations including immigrants.
