Dr. Sonia Suchday is the co-director of the new Institute for Public Health Sciences (IPHS) program, with its mission "to advance inquiry-driven public health to improve health, enhance well-being, and promote social justice, globally and at home."
The Summer Institute in Global Health is designed for advanced undergraduate and graduate students in socio-behavioral and population sciences, medical students and professionals interested in global health research seeking to enhance their global research skills.
Study Global Health in Goa, India this summer with Albert Einstein College of Medicine and the Birla Institute of Technology.

This 2 week intensive institute in global health research offers students exposure an opportunity to:
- Lean to interpret and design studies using appropriate research methodologies in global health
- The challenge of adapting Adapt their research to diverse cultural and global health settings
- Appreciate the ethical and practical challenges of conducting research in resource-poor settings
- Develop and/or implement research projects relevant to their professional settings

COST: YU Trainees: $2500
Non-YU Trainees: $4500
Cost includes room and board in India. Students are responsible for airfare to India andobtaining their visa for India and complying with all visa regulations and requirements.
