On November 17, 2010, the Center for Public Health Sciences sponsored a Public Health Research Colloquium, "Translational Diabetes Research: A Collaboration of the Einstein Diabetes Research Center and the NYC DOMH." The colloquium was held in the Price Center/Block Research Pavilion and featured presenters Elizabeth Walker, Ph.D., R.N., and Shadi Chamany, M.D., M.P.H.

The Diabetes Research and Training Center has available Pilot and Feasibility awards (up to $50,000 annually for up to two years). These funds are intended to enable investigators to generate preliminary data as the basis for seeking extramural funding for their project. This year, we are particularly interested in applications using metabolomic approaches that are applied to diabetes-related research projects.
