The Men's Division of Albert Einstein College of Medicine was formed in 1961 by a group of businessmen-philanthropists. These pioneering individuals were dedicated to supporting a fledging medical school destined to become one of the nation's premier centers for biomedical research and medical education. For more than 50 years, division members have encouraged the growth and development of the College of Medicine, providing a source of volunteer leadership and continuity.
Over the years, the Men's Division has raised millions for Einstein. Some past projects include:
- A wing of laboratories for research in Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine
- A wing of laboratories for research in the Nervous System
- A program for research in Viruses and Cancer
- An endowed chair in Cardiovascular Physiology
- A program for research in Prostate Cancer
Today, the Men's Division includes more than 1,000 business leaders from diverse backgrounds and industries. They share a common passion: helping a great medical institution advance its mission of transforming human health. The division carries out its commitment to Einstein by hosting a variety of fundraising events and educational programs throughout the year.
