Molly E. Zimmerman, Ph.D.

Dr. Molly E. Zimmerman

Professional Interests

Molly E. Zimmerman received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Neuropsychology from the University of Cincinnati. She completed a clinical internship in Neuropsychology at Brown University. She subsequently was awarded a two-year postdoctoral research fellowship through the NIA T32 Institutional Research Training Program in Dementia at Brown University. While at Brown, Dr. Zimmerman’s research interests included an examination of the relationship among obstructive sleep apnea, vascular disease, and dementia in older adults. Dr. Zimmerman joined the Einstein Aging Study in the Department of Neurology at Einstein as a licensed Clinical Neuropsychologist with research interests focused on using neuroimaging techniques to understand underlying neural mechanisms of age-related changes in cognition, sleep, and the experience of stress and pain among older adults.  Recently, she was awarded a New Investigator Research Grant from the Alzheimer's Association to examine chronic pain as a risk factor for cognitive dysfunction and dementia among older adults.
