More than 8,000 Einstein M.D., M.D.-Ph.D. and Ph.D. graduates serve the nation as leading physicians, medical educators and biomedical scientists. Since its inception in 1962, the Einstein Alumni Association has provided support and assistance to the College of Medicine and its students, with emphasis on scholarships and improving the quality of student life.
An important aspect of the Einstein Alumni Association is outreach to current students through a variety of programs and events, including the Alumni Career Network which connects students with graduates for career advice. In addition, throughout the year, reunions, regional events and on-campus alumni events allow alumni to reconnect with the College of Medicine and one another. And alumni are kept abreast of news about the College of Medicine and their classmates through Einstein magazine, the biweekly Einstein Connection e-newsletter, and information reflected on this page.

Fall Student Events
On Wednesday, August 13, 2014, Einstein will formally welcome the Class of 2018 at the “On Becoming a Physician” program, featuring the White Coat Ceremony - the symbolic beginning of the journey of medical students at Einstein. Each student will be "cloaked" with a White Coat by an alumnus in the presence of their families, classmates and Einstein faculty and leadership. They will then recite the Declaration of Geneva, dedicating themselves to the humanitarian goals of medicine and a shared commitment to providing compassionate and competent patient care. Through your support the Alumni Association provides these white coats.
On Wednesday, September 17, 2014, the Class of 2018 will participate in the Einstein Alumni Association Stethoscope Ceremony, where they will be presented with a Littman Cardiology 3 Stethoscope by a representative of the Alumni Association. The Alumni Association is giving stethoscopes to the first year class, who will use their stethoscopes as they begin their physical exam courses in the Ruth L. Gottesman Clinical Skills Center in the renovated Van Etten building. Once again, your generosity makes this possible.
Tuesday, September 30, 2014 is the 9th annual Scrubs Day, and the Einstein Alumni Association will provide a pair of anatomy scrubs to each first year student in a color exclusive to their class as they begin their Anatomy course. (The Class of 2018 will wear green!) This program is planned in collaboration with Dr. Todd R. Olson, Professor, Department of Anatomy and Structural Biology, Dr. Sherry Downie, Professor of Clinical Anatomy & Structural Biology/ Professor of Clinical Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Harris Goldstein, MD '80, who, in addition to being a Professor of Pediatrics and Microbiology & Immunology; the Charles Michael Chair in Autoimmune Diseases, an Associate Dean; and the Director of the Einstein-Montefiore Center for AIDS Research at Einstein, is also a past member of our Alumni Association's Board of Governors. Scrubs Day is eagerly anticipated by the first-year students each year and is a tradition unique to Einstein, only possible thanks to you.
